„Analysis and comparison of hierarchical clustering methods with missing values“ (Data Mining).
The aim was to implement and adapt various hierarchical clustering approaches for databases with incomplete data and develop Data Mining software.
Duties:
1. Obtaining the information.
2. Planning
3. Adapting, implementing and evaluating various hierarchical clustering methods for Databases with incomplete data.
4. Adapting these techniques on databases of "Universitatsklinikum Dusseldorf".
5. Developing the user interface.
6. Documenting.
Used technologies: Java, Oracle, DB2.

„Ontologies Merging, Database schema and instance based integration“.
The aim was to develop the software to merge and integrate schema and instances of ontologies, using integration methods.
Duties:
1. Obtaining the information.
2. Planning.
3. Ontology database processing: Extracting relevant knowledge from Ontology (which are recorded in OWL or RDF), detecting similarity between ontology and integrating them if necessary.
4. Developing semi-automatic software and user interface.
5. Visualizing of integrated ontology.
6. Creating Website to present results.
7. Documenting.
Used technologies: Java, SableCC, DB2, OWL, RDF, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Php, MySql, JavaEE.
